No. The Maximus III series is for 1156 Socket CPUs. You want the Maximus IV series if you wanna go with the ROG boards for Sandy Bridge.

Sorry it does not.

Maximus 3 is 1156

Maximus 4 is 1155 for SB.


They're not compatible. You'll need a p67/z68 mb for SB.

edit: more 1155 mb chipsets -H67/H61/B65
