P8P67 Pro question

Thread Starter
So I have just purchased a P8P67 Pro motherboard and I love it. And I also upgraded to the newest beta BIOS (or UEFI whichever its called) which is 1606. I have also been having this problem before I upgraded the BIOS.

Basically I have 2 460 GTX SE's in SLI and for some reason in the NVIDIA control panel it says "For optimal performance, plug the GeForce GTX (1) into a High Performance PCIe slot." They are plugged into the top most 2 PCIe slots also.

I know the SLI is messed up because certain full screen games I play will flicker green and look really odd. And when I disable SLI the games run fine in SLI mode. I have also tried each card individually and they work fine.

Anyone with any info would be much appreciated as I am at a total loss at the moment

Did you install the SLI Bridge?

It's because it's a 8x slot not a 16x slot. Don't worry about it. You will get that every time you update drivers.

Alright I figured as much. Still tho, I cant play games in fullscreen with SLI enabled because it flashes green colors, and when I disable SLI it works fine.

Also, check if PhysX is ran from the first GTX 460 and not the CPU, in Nvidia control panel. I know it defaults to the CPU in many cases..

Try to uninstall the driver and install an older driver.

Also be sure to install chipset drivers.

Well I seemed to have fixed the issue. I uninstalled the 275 drivers, installed the 266 ones, still didnt work. Unplugged both video cards, put the bottom one up top. Turned computer on and installed the 275 drivers. Shut the computer off and plugged in the second card and enabled SLI, works fine now. Super weird.
