[TH]Developer Bringing Windows 8 UI to Windows 7 - Page 2

Whichever Microsoft development team thought this was a good feature for desktops are blunder noggins. STUPID and much too cumbersome. I definitely won't be going to Windows 8. Ever.

Christ!!! I think none has seen the original article about that windows8announcement video.

The tile based interface is solely for tablets, as it was one of windows 8 big goals, to be more accessible on tablets. They showed how you can switch between the tile interface and the regular windows 7 looking desktop.

This is meant for TABLETS !!! NOT for desktops. I can't believe people actually think that.

I think I was lucky enough to catch that windows 8 article early because 2 days later everyone was talking about the fact that this was windows 8.

It might not even be the windows 8 engine that they demonstrated, just the interface on windows 7.

Either way, this is for tablets, remember it. It might come packed with windows 8 for desktops, somewhere hidden like windows media center. It might even have its own icon on the REGULAR desktop for all in one touch pcs....

I was really laughing my ass of how I saw everyone freak out after finding that video on youtube without the proper article with it.
I wish I could share it, but it's in dutch.

EDIT: I'll even tell yout his: I promis you that, IF this UI comes preinstalled on a normal mouse and keyboard windows OEM PC, you can all come back to this thread, click my profile, send me a pm to remember me and I'll presonally make a video of me eating my hat. This does not include tablets or touch-all-in-one pcs.

Yeah, it looks pretty bad. I don't know how much of it is just derpy implementation by the developer, though.

Funny, I was just about to post about the lack of information and fearmongering in this thread. Any pictures you find of Windows 8 for desktops look the exact same as Windows 7. The tiles are for the mobile/tablet Windows 8, which will be based on a stream lined version of the same kernel used on desktops, which is why its being shown off at the same time.

^^ THANK GOD someone with some sense of rationalism.

They aren't going to shoot themselves in the foot with something like that.
It's like suzuki suddenly announces their new steeringwheel for motorcycles, and people (because the 'for motorcycles' got lost) start whining about how awful it is going to be to drive a car with such a steeringwheel.

I honestly thought the guys from an overclock site would be a little smarter than that. But hey, don't underestimate the temptation of ranting

Apologies for my english, I had to teach myself.
