That's true but that doesn't mean they're invincible and will last forever. Ball bearings can still malfunction

Yep, the fan is most likely fixed, since both fans at full speed sounds the same now.

Not sure if a guide to fixing fans would be beneficial on this forum? (Nvm, there is one that exists here already, which is quite similar, posted as link in the forum post mentioned earlier in this thread)
