Xfx core 216 gtx260

1st question. I set an overoclock and once it heats up in furmark I get quite a bit of artifacting. That mean my oc isn't stable?

The automatic fan only starts going up when it hits about 75c. Should I leave it on this they really meant to run that hot?

Can I getting a lot more out of the card if I increase voltages? Is it worth it?

Increasing the voltage will dump out more heat and in your case isn't good since you're already artifacting.

I use afterburner for my overlocking. You can also use it to turn your fans up. What are you using?

Yes, it's unstable. You'll be able to get more performance out of the card with voltage increases, but an increase in voltage comes with an increase in temps. If you're already hitting 75C, I'd recommend finding your highest stable clock at your current voltage. 75C is no cause for concern but having the card much higher than that for extended gaming sessions is certainly not ideal.

I'd recommend that you clock down your core/shader until you don't see any more artifacts in Furmark, and leave it there.

I took the core clock down 20 but have to test it. Anyway to get better cooling on these? I have the fan set to manual at 75. Any louder is usually just too annoying. Thanks for the answers btw

Even though it artifacts and its the core clock could I still push the memory clock? Will it really make a difference?
