Well if I'm wrong, tell me what game is closer to Duke 3D. Which one?

I still remember playing Duke Nukem 2, the side scroll one and that was cool at the time. It sucks to hear that the reviews arent great, but I hope the fans of the series will say otherwise.

I spent hundreds of hours mapping, modding and playing this game. Regardless of what this guy says the game is nothing like or compared to the original.

I think the point is that it feels different enough from CoD, BF and every other shooter that has came out in the past 5 or so years that people should give it a shot. I think we all knew it wouldn't be perfect.

Pretty much it.

They can modernize it in the next one. For this one, I'm glad they didn't bastardize 3D Realm's baby.

lol @ this

Fanboyism at its best.

Not surprised by this review at all. They tried to bring back the funny and over the top shooter that he once was, but that was over a decade ago. Things change, people change, and games have already come out since then that did what Duke was suppose to do and did it better imo. Won't be touching this game.

11 years in the making and it's still crap. Reminds me of Chinese Democracy.

The only fun thing about the game is the Pinball machine..

I play it solely to hear Duke´s one-liners. The game definitely delivers.

Meh not for me.

The game was rushed. Gearbox had 8 months to code the game up from scratch, with nothing but 13 years worth of plans and concepts to work with.

When the game was delayed another month I knew it would be a stinker.

The gameplay consists of 13 years worth of gameplay mechanics ripped from other games. Most notably Half Life 2.

If you strip away the steroids and over-the-top toilet humour that would shame the Duke himself you essentially get HL2: Ep 3.
