Are there 2 models of the PS3 Slim?

Thread Starter
I know there is a 160GB and 250GB selling right now, but what about the 120GB slim?

They are different versions right? Does the 160GB have anything that the 120GB slim doesn't have?

I would assume it's just the hard drive size. Check out the playstation site if you want more information.

here a chart its a bit old but it will tell you anyway all the slims are the same exept for the hhd so in a way you could just buy a 120gb and put a 500gb in it simples

It looks pretty easy to upgrade the drive too so if you're trying to decide which model to go for and there is a significant price difference, it my be better from a financial standpoint to go with the smaller model and upgrade if needed.

160/320GB's have a die shrink IIRC.

the 120gb slim has a 65nm GPU and 45nm CPU, while the 160gb model has both 45nm GPU and CPU

The 120 GB and 250 GB were the first SLIM generation, after that they stopped producing them and started on the 160 GB and 320 GB models.
