[HP] 33% Coupon HP Pavilion dv6 Quad Edition Core i7 "Sandy Bridge" Laptop - Page 2

Meh...the price even after the coupon is not that great. The price after the coupon discount for a high end i7 laptop is what it should cost at regular retail price... The laptops are already heavily marked up for the coupon I presume...

I'd love for you to find me a better deal on a laptop with a decent dedicated video and an i7 2630M, and 750GB of storage, than my $788 configuration with the silver brushed aluminum lid etc. etc. Even if it didn't have dedicated video, it's worth that much to me just because it's ridiculously attractive.

I'm honestly surprised they're still trying to market single channel options to end-users on this high end beast. It would bottleneck the high end GPU and CPU on certain intensive tasks.
Nevertheless, when properly configured, a great deal!

Any idea how long this will last? I just threw my dv6 (last years with the i7 720qm) up for sale and would like to get one of these for the extra $200.

Well, I agree they're slightly marked up to begin with, but he said:

...which is the part I disagree with. I didn't miss anything; I disagree with his main point.

Just got my DV6T from a similar deal, great laptop.

under 1000 for a 6770M (2GB), 6GB ram, SB Quad, and 1080p screen=win

15.6" screen is so much nicer than 17" since you can acutally carry it somewhere.

Yeah... 17" is HUGE.
I'm glad I got my 14-inch Lenovo V470 anyway, because it's very portable, and also very attractive, and I'm going to be taking a gaming desktop to college anyway. I'm going to a good nerd school, where it's normal .
