biostar a880g+ problem

I got a bios update through windows on my biostar mobo. After the bios update the comp restarts/crashes and does other crazy things. It was working fine before the update. How do I get it back to where it was at? Thanks for your help! going crazyyyy

do you know what revision you had before. flash it with another rev

Try loading optimized defaults and save/restart.

I did do optimized defaults and save/restart. Idk what revision I use to have. What would clearing cmos do?

It would load the optimized defaults and clear any profiles you might have.
Worth a shot.

If that doesn't work out for you.
Revert to a version previous to the one you have.
The BIOS flashing utility should let you down-grade the BIOS.

It does not.
I'm assuming you are running the latest version
Try downgrading to 88PCP830.BSS.

check all the default settings in bios, as they may be incorrect & conflicting with your hardware

I've got the same mobo, it's a finnicky little bugger. I built this new rig of mine last night, took me 3 - 4 hours pissing around in the BIOS to get it to run the windows instillation properly. After i got on windows, i did a BIOS update and have had no issue as of yet.
