Windows Power Saving Options bugged?

Thread Starter
Hello, I like to keep my power saving options @Balanced to save some energy and lower the possibilites of degradation, It normally switches to 4.7 ghz fine when I run something that generates heavy load, but sometimes it just stays at 1.6 ghz e.g when I extract something with winrar

is there any way to fix this or do I have to set it to Optimal(dunno how the setting is called I don't have an english Windows)?

Try having a fiddle with the settings for the power plans, but tbh you should be running high performance with that rig it doesn't make that much difference on your elec bill

My advice to you is to leave it alone. If you really want to save some power then don't overclock in the first place. You can fiddle with the % from within the Power control panel / advanced power options / processor minimum maximum settings if you want to though.
