Ooh, so fast!
I am playing fine with ares and 5870 tri fired with newest drivers and caps, so if it is a driver issue it is due to a bad install and not the version

Actually I have a similar issue, I switched from a hd 5670 to a 5850 and have noticed some color loss, objects look dull, harsh atmospheric lighting and even using the igp I can see deeper and richer colors, more details and the atmospheric lighting is warm. I even recalibrated my monitor before I contacted Sapphire, this was their reply:-

Dear Sir:
Please check below steps.
1. Clear your motherboard CMOS first and update your motherboard bios, chipset driver to the latest version. Please note this.
2. Make sure the Windows OS you are using was up to date with all patches released from Microsoft.
3. Remove all you previous card drivers (Nvidia or ATI drivers)
4. Install v11.5 driver
5. Check your power supply,500W at least

Tried the above but it did not resolve the issue for me, anyone else know how ?

Its pretty simple, if its only those games then driver/sw issue, if its all games then hw issue......

personally I used 11.5 with witcher2 on a 5850 so pretty identical to you, no issues.
