I thought 5770 could only do two way not three way crossfire.

The non-reference cards can't do 3-way Crossfire due to them having only one Crossfire link.

Idk about the XFX psus i dont have personal experience with them but Ive heard mixed reviews about them plus at that price you can pick up a good 700-750w
The XFX Pro Core 650 is the same as a TX650 V2, and the XFX 650w XXX is similar to a HX650. And FYI, all XFX PSU's are currently Seasonic built.

Forgot about the Neo ECO.

@eseb1 Get the Neo ECO 620 if you don't care about modularity, and get the XFX XXX 650w if you want modular.

Dont be a case of "It was priced high so it should be good"

When you build your own rig, you should care about efficiency and other things. If you didnt know, you could buy a 500 watt power supply and only get 300 watts. Thats over a third lost.

Anyways, yes, the AX750 unit is great. I think it is over priced but thats my opinion. The HX750 is a semi modular, it only keep the manditory cables connecter and everything else modular, so it would be another option and comes in as a very strong power supply with a 5 year warranty.

Just to make things right...
A 5770 has a 6-pin PCIe power connector. A 6 pin can draw a maximum of 75 watts from the power supply. The PCIe slot on the motherboard can supply a max of 25 watts. They DO NOT take 200 watts each. An 8-pin PCIe power supply, which was released AFTER the 6-pin, can supply a max of 150 watts.
Simple math states 5770= MAX 100 watts.

That is odd I had 2 Sapphire HD 5770 V.2 non-reference that could do 3-way crossfire. They had 2 Crossfire link each.

You don't lose any of the rated wattage through efficiency.

Alright, thanks everyone, I think I'll go with the XFX modular.

Against forum rules to discuss the program I run, but it uses ATI cards. Plus 3 would be sweet for gaming.

3x800 stream processor should earn good for you

As for the crossfire in game I highly doubt on it reliabilty.
AMD drivers + multiple GPU's = Weird problem sometimes.

Anything over 600 watts should be enough.
Have fun.
