Please help me pick a fan controller for my needs.

Hey, I have a coupon from Newegg for 15% off that's ending tonight.

I have a nVidia HAF X case, an i5-2500k/P8P67 Deluxe and a GTX 580 DirectCU II. I have a Silver Arrow CPU cooler. I am going to purchase LED fans for all the slots.

I play a lot of FPS and the other day I noticed warm air coming out of the back fan while playing Bad Company 2.

I am looking at the Scythe Kaze Master Pro 5.25 Fan Controller. I don't really know too much about this stuff but it seems to be good.

Is this right for me? Is there something I could find better? Money not an issue but I like this price at $43.

Thanks.

I like the sunbeam ones, im going to get one soon. You can use your MB's fan curve, and split it to all your fans.

LOL...Sunday. Anyone here?

Anyway, I went with the Kaze Master. I was going to forget it since my HAF X is great as it is and I honestly don't have too much info. on this crap but I did more reading and I think it would be nice for FPS... especially with Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 coming out soon.

The NZXT controllers like to catch on fire. I don't want any part of that. Basic basic is just fine for me boy howdy! Actually that new NZXT external controller don't look too bad but I want an internal.

I read an Amazon review and he said it works great with his HAF X so good for me. I like the alarm if one of them fails. As long as the temp. sensors don't give me the problems I'm hearing about I will love it. Otherwise, I'll just use the fans. Actually, if they do I'll just ask where to get replacements.

Have a good night.

What I hate about the fan controllers is that their rear cables an probes are not sleeved black makes the inside untidy.

The Lamptron FC Touch is nice also, I just ordered one last week for my HAF-X: 6 fans and 30w per channel

Infos here, not the same price though.

I purchased two Touch fan controllers (black and silver) for different Cooler Master cases. The cases are model ATCS 840 cases. These cases have special locking mechanisms for the 5.25 inch bays. I had to remove the special mechanism from the outside of the bay in which I installed the Touch controller. Even after removing the mechanism, I had to drill a hole on either side of the bay as the holes on the Touch did not line up with any of the slots on the bay cage. I must say I was disappointed about this as what should have been a very easy install became much more complicated. It was not easy trying to determine where to drill the hole as you were working almost with no guides. After drilling a hole on each side of the bay cage, I was able to install the Touch controller with no further difficulties except for a faulty extension fan line that was in the box. Based on this experience you need to give users more options for attaching the Touch in the bay.

LOL hell no!

The HAF X has those same kind of bays. Shame 'cause that is really nice. Good luck bro.

I like Newegg 'cause should I run into a problem like that I can get most of my money back. But I can confirm from this dude that the Kaze Master works in a HAF X.
