Water cooled AMD Athlon II X4 630 in a mini ATX case... w/pics

So this is my rig, about half way through my latest project which is fitting two 120mm fans underneath the case with the CPU radiator mounted onto one of them while the other blows cold air straight onto the graphics card. I will also saw a hole in the top of the case to vent hot air out that way. The fans make a bit less noise when mounted underneath and provide pretty decent airflow inside the case. I will make feet for the case by screwing two lengths of something black along each underside which will allow the fans to draw in cold air from the front and back and minimizing noise. -Btw the CPU is clocked to 3.5Ghz (stock 2.8Ghz) and is running stable at about 30°c idling and hitting 45°c-50°c at max load.

The case is just an old E COOL something, couldn´t even google it tongue.gif
And yeah, the adapters with the cpu block didn´t fit my motherboard so just strapped it in with some zip-ties biggrin.gif
This is my first mod/build thing so I´m just using whatever I have around but I´m working on a concept case which I´ll build from scratch, this case is for trying out a couple ideas... smile.gif

A little update...
I´ve moved both the HDDs to the top bracket and re-routed the cables. Looks tidier I think.
Also I´m going to slice up the Corsair kit and add a res which I´ll mount up front in the newly found space I just made ;P I live in Iceland and sadly no stores carry custom WC kits so I will have to find something that could make a nice res to use. Suggestions welcome smile.gif

The new layout:

So I´ve fiddled a bit more with the cables, turned the HDDs around to be plugged from the front and have decided on a color theme, blue on black with some red details to match the mobo and sleeves. Also I´ve sourced a grill to mount up top where I´ll cut a hole for ventilation. A little this and that also to finish the build off... I´ll keep those interested up to date as progress is made smile.gif

Cabling pretty much sorted to the max and more stuff to happen soon:

Looks good, but you'll have better temps with a proper mounting kit (Corsair should sell them for cheap) or a decent air cooler with good fans.

I'd also build some stands so the whole system isn't resting on the fans. They won't be sucking in much air the way they are currently set up.

yeah those temps arnt real impressive, i have a 12 $ rosewill cooler that keeps mine at 3.5 below 50c

The temps are actually a bit better now than when I checked for the first post, at idling it´s rocking between 25-30°c and maxing at 40-45°c (not the best I know but way better than my previous heatsink even before overclock). I am also going to get rubber feet under the box (which is lying on it´s side atm). It´s a work in progress... wink.gif

Nice adjustments you've made. For a res, if you can source some acrylic in whatever color, you can build one yourself smile.gif The stuff isn't that difficult to work with and pretty easy to make water tight. Would just need to find a G1/4 tap to add some fittings.
