Do you think we'll see a price drop for the gtx 560 ti?

Thread Starter
Since an HD 6870 isn't that much worse and can be had for $185 while the cheapest 560 ti is $230. The HD 6870 is also better than the gtx 560 non ti as well which goes for ~$195, at least at stock.

I know there will be one this fall for sure. Other than that wait for sale.

Don't think they'll take much of a drop really, they tossed in the non ti editions to be sure of it, to hold that 200 or so dollar mark.

*edit* Eventually of course, but until the new series comes around, I'm pretty sure ^ is going to hold the pricing relatively stable (minus a sale or rebate here and there)

Newegg had an EVGA for $207 shipped not too long ago I wouldn't be surprised to see them around there regularly. The 560 non-ti is a horrible value at $200 so it really needs to be less than $180, probably less than $170 seeing as you can get the exact same performance for

nVidia cards usually perform a little worse than ATI cards if you're comparing them side-by-side and basing it on price, but they also have a reputation for additional "bells and whistles," like smaller size, better drivers (debatable), SLI (vs. CF), and greater functionality in F@H.

That said, The 560 Ti is still regarded as one of the best price/performance cards out there, and the fact that most of them can be OC'd an extreme amount is a major plus. Selling cards OC'd past 100MHz core is pretty insane. My 560 Ti @980 core performs close to a 570, which really means something.

There's the none Ti 560 holding the 560Ti's price point as of now, don't think it'll drop anytime soon.
