As gammite said, yes it is worth it. I cashed in on the free xbox as well. I believe you'll be able to run those games just fine. However don't expect to max every game. Laptops or only minions to desktops. The price to performance ratio is in a different stratosphere once you hop the boat to laptops.

No problem man, enjoy that beast! I love being able to lay in bed and play Bad Company 2.

You may need to change the power settings once the machine is unplugged. Could be that the power is scaled down to extend the battery life. Check out the power/battery options and ensure that everything is set on max when running battery power. It will kill the battery life, but you should not see a dip in performance......at least until the battery runs out of juice.

The battery itself cannot deliver enough volts to power the components full speed. You need to have the laptop plugged in to get true 100% performance, no matter what the power options are.

Is it really a big diffrence ? cause if so i am gonna go with the compusa version and return the BB version. i was gonna shell out 200.00 for the BB 1yr warranty but with that extra 200. i can get the compusa version with the better manuf. warranty already. any thoughts?

Not to steal the show or anything, but Best Buy now has the Asus G74SX available. I don't see this one OP reviewed on the website though, just the G74 and a G53. Nice review though!
