2600K build... bit 'o 'help

Thread Starter
Right guys, this might not be the perfect place for this thread but i figure its got the 2600k in there....

Basically im doing a new build with the NZXT Phantom, Asus M4E, 2600k, H70, Gskill RipjawX, a PSU (TBC) and EVGA GTX580....

Im doing a week by week build rather then the typical buy it all build it all...

Obviously i have to start with the case then mobo...

But i dont know where to go from there in a week by week scenario, what order should i buy and build ???

Please chip in

I'd go Case > PSU > Mobo> CPU+RAM [now you can run/test your rig if you already have a hdd/ssd ] > CPU cooler > GPU

Sound fimilar as I used similar parts,

I agree with Joe

get the case first so you can use this time for any modifications you would like to do.

Really after that it does not matter much IMO nothing really works woith out the other so you will find yourself looking at it and saying what the heck, I am just buying it all.

The evga is a great card but I do feel with the Lightning, SOC and the Direct CU there are some better options out there, you may want to look into those GPU's a bit, make sure you get the fastst tightest Ripjaws availible,

You will love

See thats the way i was thinking of doing it.... the only thing is if i do it in that order when i put the GPU in is it not gunna be a maze of wires that i have to tidy....

I know Phantom has excellent cable management but i dont wanna plug it all in to take it all out and do it again... hoping for a seemless end to end

Im hoping to love, the main reason im going for the EVGA is after support, i have a very "broken"(for want of a better word) system at the moment and aftercare would be a godsent but its too old and decrepid for that but EVGA' life warranty really made the jump for me plus they do the 3GB card that i want and look great....

I suppose your right you do need all of it, and without power its not like im gunna break it regardless of which way...

What would you consider to be the tightest ripjaws x, caus with the asus m4e you have a limit of 1.6v and im looking for 16gb ddr3

To be honest, as long as you have the case first, the rest is as you would like it really

I guess mobo and psu would be next because that will really dictate where the wiring will be going
