ok everything is getting confused now. If you read my previous posts I wrote that Ill try a run with the tessellation disabled to see what score will I get. At stock clocks after disabling tessellation in cc I got a 20 point higher score then when I did my run at 1070/1500 that got me te 3rd place. The hwbot heaven benchmark runs only ones so I dont know really how to do what you just mentioned

Tessellation was the same issue that person cheated with to get in Heaven benchmark thread.

You could prove your score Khalam by running 2.5 Heaven benchmark at extreme preset settings, and take a screenshot of the benchmark completed with the benchmark running the background, usually just as the benchmark restarts so you can see floor tiles stick out and the floor are in the background so you can see the tessellation on, with in the first second or two of it restarting, anything after that would give you time to alt+tab and turn Tessellation back on.

Assuming you don't have to restart the engine, to re-enable tessellation.
Heaven is pretty much useless with the tess disable. Metro is still pretty valid since it uses almost zero tess. Tess on or off is a difference of 1-2 fps, but in Heaven, it's a huge diff.

If his scores keep going up in metro, it's a dead giveaway shenanigans. At 1080p, SB doesn't have enough juice to feed quad caymens, end of story.

You sure you disabled correctly?

Should look like this in CCC, AMD optimized should not be checked.

So what is your 1070 MHz score without tessellation on?

Because this is what I am seeing, I am seeing a tessellation turned off score both clocks, which means that this "5600" score is CPU limited. That tells me that either speed you have your GPUs, it doesn't matter because essentially, you are not running a stressful benchmark. That would not be the case if you were running full Tessellation enabled.

You can dispute this by running again, with tessellation off, with GPU clocks at 1070 MHz, and the CPU the same. Secondly, you can do the following as I suggested before, run the standard Heaven benchmark 2.1, run it a full set of benchmarks, and leave it running for a few seconds with score displayed, and take a full screenshot with cobblestones in all their tessellationy goodness displayed. You will have to time it almost as soon as the score shows to get a good angle and to prevent suspicion that you are quickly alt+tabbing turning tessellation on while the score is showing.

Secondly, this won't stop you from Photoshopping a score onto the middle of it as its a static image, but there is a program out there can run a matrix-based uncompressing filter, its a plugin for Photoshop (which is enhanced by CUDA I might add) that detect photo manipulation by micropixellation distortion. A typical causes of misaligned pixel coloration is cut and pasted. Its pretty darn accurate, but its currently limited to square boxes, rectangles, and triangles.

You pass all that, and I will stop bothering you.

All you have to do is download the Heaven benchmark, and run it, although they run 2.1, you will need to download and install/run that version, the 2.5 would be fine, but I don't want your score hurting from it.

I have privately messaged him, I don't want to cause him stress. All I care about is accurate information on this forums. I have gotten to the point where I have friends here, I have a little earned respect here, but its an invaluable source of information, that I am becoming apart of. If we have a member in our ranks that has THE 3rd fastest benchmark score, it is a true honor that he wants to be here and share this with us.

That being said, this type of honor isn't just given out to just anybody, and respect is earned. If he can successfully jump through my hoops, he will win me over. If he can probably convince me, he will not have a hard time convincing just about everyone out there. The only results I am calling out are the Heaven results at this time.

They are too good to be believable, and I had no idea that Cat 11.2/.3 allowed you to turn Tessellation off. It really is no longer a decent benchmark / reliable one in my opinion and I can just let it go, but as it stands, as a member of OCN and HWBot, I feel compelled to step up and ask questions. 99% of the information out on the internet is bad and unreliable, and I want to do my part to make this forums and everywhere else more honest if I can help that.

Even with the hwbot Heaven front end, the score can still be manipulated.

Doesn't really matter to me though, as Heaven is as useless as screen doors on a submarine.
The manipulation of 3DM11 is more of an issue IMO.
I agree. I proved that CCC makes Tessellation benchmarks very inaccurate. At first I thought my dual OC'd HD 6850's were just slaying all of the GTX 570's, because I didn't realize the slider is glitched, even when set to application managed.

See this post for more details:

http://www.overclock.net/ati-drivers...enchmarks.html

Edit: I should add that Futuremark is aware of this. They have not approved said AMD drivers that cause this glitch. HWBOT is also aware of the glitch, but they officially don't care, as they posted in their forums.

This reminds me of how physx made nvidia scores much higher in Vantage.

ill have to download and run 2.5 as 2.1 goes to desktop to give you the score straight away when the bench finishes

Damric I hope its not the case, because if it is ill be the laughing stock of OCN

No you won't, if you did everything you could do honestly, how are you even to blame? If anyone is to blame it would be AMD. If thats truly the case then there is no need for you to worry at all. I mean you should make mention of it on HWBot because there rankings are based on primarily self-integrity.

Don't forget people buy hardware based on the crazy stuff we get up to. Its up to you if you want to step up and be that honest car sales man, or the lying thief of a car sales man.

Get some sleep and start again in the morning, IF you want to.

Exact quote from HWBOT staff:

Quote:
hwbot does not regulate drivers so anything changeable in a driver CP is OK.

...until hwbot changes their stance on drivers, it is what it is.

I know, trust me I know how screwy this looks but the bot is being consistent. It's this kind of thing that may cause enough stir to have things reconsidered, who knows. But the way I see it at the moment, it's OK...the red team deserves a little pay back for all that time we went without LOD.

I wouldn't worry about it. There are plenty of other bugged scores and most people including the benchers don't even know the difference.

AMD/ATI GPUs should be benched separately from nvidia GPUs and the CCC sliders should all be manually set to specific values, nothing auto/application managed.
