Which PSU?

Thread Starter
Ok, since I'm replacing my PSU (yeah the one in my sig rig) Which of these (or a comparably priced one) should I go for?

The Antec High Current Gamer Series 900W
The Corsair HX750 750W
The Corsair 850TX 850W
or the SilverStone ST75F-P 750W

Thanks

I would get the Silverstone, its silver cert and a great brand name. It could easily handle your rig plus another 5850.

That Antec is a beast but also Silverstone is a quality PSU..

Also Corsair, the name speaks for itself..

It all depends on the prices and your needs as all of those PSU are pure quality and performance..

CHEERS..

i like the hx series because of there flat cables.it makes cable management really easy.i think a 750w psu is more than pleanty power for future upgrades.

Out of the ones you listed, either the Corsair HX750 or the Silverstone ST75F-P.
That said, why so much wattage? Your system can run on a good 400-450W unit.

I'll end up CFXing 5850s or 6870s. Or maybe SLI 570s.

A good 650W would handle a pair of 5850s or 6870s easily (even a good 550W would). If you're planning on 570 SLI though, 750W is reasonable.

Those are all good units, and all will provide plenty of power for any multi-gpu setup (save perhaps the 750W unit if you were running SLI GTX480's).

The Antec True Power New 750W is also a very nice unit that goes on sale quite often. It's also worthy of your consideration if it's on sale (at full-pop it's a tad overpriced IMHO).

So what you're saying is that I could run a single 570 or possibly even SLI 570s on say a Corsair 650TX?

Also should mention I'm replacing this PSU because I've been told it's a horrible low quality PSU.
