Weird booting problem

Thread Starter
On my sig rig I am getting some random booting problems. It does 2 things: 1) Once in a while, it will boot up for a bit, does not even beep, die down and restart and 2) It will go to the W7 window saying "Starting Windows" and will just stay stuck there.

Again the issue is intermittent so it's hard to duplicate the issue. Also I don't know if this may have anything to do with it but I have 2x2 GB of G.Skill Ripjaws X http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231427 and a 2x2 G.Skill GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231193. Both have 9-9-9-24 1.5V. Anyone who have ran into this issue?

kinda sounds like a mb or psu issue try with a diffrent psu first and let me know what happens

Had the same issue for a while, check how your CPU and cooler is seated, check for the thermal paste .. cant be too much or too little, and check and make sure the power to the cpu from the PSU OR power to the fan is not loose like mine was. lol

It souldnt be a memory issue at all unless u run only one stick and it stops doing that, its pretty easy to check the memory just run one stick at a time.

If all looks well with the CPU, Thermal Paste and all connections to MB and CPU and fans than its most likely your power supply ... replace it asap because it will only cause you further heartache.

Also keep in mind about the clock you are running on your cpu i5-2500K @4.5 Ghz is fun and all but if u want a stable system 100% of the time ull want to throttle that down when ur not running benchmarks etc... try bringing it down to stock speed and see if u have reboot problems.
