Problem with Asus netbook - Page 2

So, I went home last night, and with the recommendations here, I still got nowhere. I created a bootable Linux USB drive setup, tested it on 2 different machines, then tried it on my netbook to no avail... it refuses to boot anything from ANY jump drive I have. I have a win 7 HP, Pro, Linux, and Ultimate Boot CD image across several different jump drives, not a single one was able to boot from this netbook.

I tried getting it to boot from USB for an hour and a half with no luck, it just simply refuses to boot from a usb drive, but the ports will read a bios file off of usb from when I tried updating to the latest bios.

So... now what? I cant bring the netbook in for fear of losing a couple of documents, and there are also some other personal documents on their that I don't trust best buy's geeksquad with.

What the heck do I do now? Ive only had this thing for like 2 months tops... Why would Asus set up express gate so you can't delete or copy any files?

I'm totally screwed here it seems.

Looks like my only option is to open it up, remove the drive and retrieve the data from it... and maybe ebay the parts?

$260 down the tubes...

Its a netbook, doesnt have a cd drive, might try getting a usb one, but I cant get the netbook to boot from USB drives... it just doesn't recognize them

I tried system recovery, it crashes when windows loads because the bios is corrupt in some way...

Thanks for the tip...

I think boot Booster your talking about is on a seprate partition on the hard drive it works with the bios if you install a new OS you loose it I read something about it the other day. I'm guessing without it it won't boot as fast..
