Changed to browser from Firefox to Chrome, you need to be using CHROME for this to work.

the 8.8.8.8 | 8.8.4.4 works good though. Cant tell if its faster yet though
500 errors are server errors. OCN has them every so often. Has nothing to do with DNS or your internet connection. Just the server usually overloaded.

What's funny is, once you finish talking to the DNS server for that split second, it has absolutely nothing to do with how fast or slow your youtube video is downloading. DNS is just the street sign telling you where to go(youtube servers). It doesn't affect your connection in any way. I can't believe anyone on OCN would think that changing their DNS would have any affect on their download speeds.

DNS servers aren't always one size fits all.
Try DNS Advantage, OPEN DNS, and Google's and see which one meshes best with you.

Is this true. If so, I'm sticking with FF!

A question about changing the DNS server. Will this increase my download speeds?
Thanks!

I suppose it's possible, I remember switching increased mine by a bit.
Give it a shot, you really have nothing to lose and only free performance to gain.

Do I have to change it in my router as well?
