Funny Story

So I picked up my Logitech MX 5500 Revolution as it seemed to be the best keyboard/mouse combination at the time for my use... Having it for a couple years or so, i'm loving it... Then suddenly it stops charging as it gets a red blinking light while in the dock. So I refer to logitechs website which insists to check the dock charge connectors and messing around with it, doesn't seem to fix it...
I then refer to the following website...
http://alexking.org/blog/2008/01/29/...ight-in-cradle
I scroll down to "Chris'" comment to see that he did everything I did, then got tired of it and slammed it down...
Then scrolling down, at least 50 other people had the same issue, slammed it and seemed to fix the issue...
I try it, slam it, and bam everything is fixed...
Anyone else with this problem? I found it pretty funny...

Never heard of anything like that, but its definitely an uncanny way to fix something.

I'd love to see the the FAQ from logitech :
If your MX5500 stop working, slam it on your desktop it should come back to life.

Why RMA if it's fixed? Slamming it seems to have fixed it so I am happy. Reading that same forum looks like these mouse seem to develop some kind of rusting (or some substance) around the battery connector area and slamming it moves the battery into place so that the battery has better contacts to charge correctly.
You could open the mouse up and clean out the connector areas and that might fix it, but slamming solved my issue and no more complaints... Funny how you would think a $100 mouse would be built like this...
