reccomend a mATX 1155 board for 2500k overclock

Thread Starter
Looking at upgrading my HTPC and have a silverstone grandia GD04 case, but it needs a mATX board. I have the NT01-E cooler and two fans with ducting made up for it right now.

Problem is I'm reading for what I want (2500k cPU) there arent really any overclocking mATX boards frown.gif

My HTPC serves as a gaming rig, and while I may not overclock it right away I want the headroom later.

any suggestions?

Wow. Great find! Between the two that mbudden linked, I'd go with the P8P67-M PRO.

i have the Asus board listed above. its a nice board, my only qualm with it is the voltage control is only by offset. there is no manual voltage control which makes OC'ing a bit tricky.

other than that, it is a very nice board.

If you can wait, the Maximus IV GENE-Z will be released here soon. I'm thinking this week or next. But has been said by many to release this month.

hrmmm... might hold off then and see.

Reason for my looking to change was I currrently have a x15e silver HTPC case. The black would match my other components and take up a little less space. I never use the touchscreen in it since it wont support 1920x1080 so it all just seems like such a waste frown.gif

Although trust me I have been tempted to take the touchscreen out of it and mount somehting else in it's place (havent found anything good though), and modify it to have this 200mm fan I took out of my HAF 922 case. I would then use the touchscreen for this tiny little PC I have and use it as a carputer biggrin.gif
