HD 5670 problems Im at my wits end....

A week ago I bought and installed a Radeon HD 5670 1gb card to upgrade my HD 4550 512mb card. Its been nothing but peoblems.

My system...

Asus M4N75TD motherboard.

Phenom II Quad core 3.2ghz cpu.

4 Gigs of Corsair 1333 Mhz ram

Corair 750 watt, 60a 12v rail PSU

Radeon HD 5670 1gb vidcard

Windows 7

Now I had no issues at all with the Radeon 4550 card in the SAME system. But after installing the 5670, I keep getting lockups in games, and even when using a browser. Sometimes it locks up wo a blue screen, sometimes it just locks up, and others I get the "Display Driver stopped responding but was restarted" message.

I have formatted and re-installed windows, I have tried older versions of the 5670 display driver. I tried reinstall ALL my drivers including my motherboard and chipset drivers. I dont know what else to do.....is this card messed up or something? Its an XFX Radeon HD 5670 1gb card.

May I suggest trying another PSU?

You reallt think it might be the PSU? I just got it like 3 months ago, and havent had any issues until I installed this card.

You never know, is there any overclocks at all?

You try running MEMTEST on your ram? Make sure your Ram is stable. It really does sound like that's your problem right now. Try running it on the factory settings on the Ram and for the voltage, use the factory voltage PLUS one extra (+). Set all of you other settings on factory AUTO settings. Enable CPU and NB calibration settings for now. RUN MEMTEST for like an hour or so.

So your DRAM settings should be 1333 @ X timings @ 1.66v (if your ram is 1.65v) or something like that.

I see. Everything is at factory settings, no OC.
