I think I am leaning towards the Intel 510 or the Agility 3 (based on price)...

decisions decisions!
The Intel 510 is as far as I know somewhat more expensive then the Agility 3. However, I'd pick that one for the superb reliablility.

Good luck !

My local shop has both the 510 and the Vertex 3 for the same price.. they recommended the Vertex 3 over the Intel 510.. I'm more confused now and didn't end up getting either, as I had gone in to buy the 510 and was questioned when I hadn't chosen the Vertex3... I need to make the right decision here. I don't want to pick the wrong SSD.

They said to pass on the Agility 3 as it is "entry level"... and that the 510 and Vertex3 are in a different category in terms of performance, but he said the Vertex3 is the best and they have had no issues with it when I mentioned reliability...

Its a $5 difference between the two (510/Vertex3).

"Entry level" is ... Well, not far from untrue. It's merely a cheap version of the Vertex 3, the Agility 3 use nano cells of lesser quality, as far as I remember.

Check out the benchmarks yourself. The Intel is more consistent in speed and reliability. It's not that the Vertex 3 is bad, it's just a difference a lot of people would find difficult to notice.

I mean, in benchmarks and presumably real world usage the Vertex 3 is faster. However, for the human mind, it's a difference that will be more difficult to notice, since the 510 is no slotch either.
