Volt Mod General

Hey Guys,

I purchased an EAH5850 TOP earlier this year with the goal to reach 1000 core. In the end I ran it stock since the OC never ran stable. Now I am a bit curious again.

Stock is:

765 @ 1.118V core
1125 @ 1.118V Memory

With GPU Occt in the past, i was able to achieve:
922 @ 1.243v
1200 @ 1.243v

Then I reran the test a few days later and it doesn't work anymore. It causes artifacts.

Any voltages beyond 1.243volts for core causes artifacts in seconds. I use Asus smartdoctor to increase volts.

So now I am wondering, are volt hard mods worth the trouble?

If it cannot sustain a software voltage increase, chances are it wont like a hardmod. What were the temperatures?

Thanks,

GPU temp runs at 50-60 with Occt GPU.
