If you don't want to worry about corrosion, stick to 1 metal in your loop. Adding nickel with silver and copper is just plain stupid.

The problem was that the nickel was too thin. I posted about it in the other thread.

It's really 'easy' to find nickel plated cpu waterblocks, nb/sb waterblocks, gpu waterblocks pump, fittings, and resorvoir:rolleyes:

Think before you comment

edit: just checked your sig rig and you don't have any water cooling parts or even tried it(reason for your idiotic comment)

The only metal i could be worried about mixing in a loop is Aluminum... Nickle, copper and silver are no problem.

Think before you comment

edit: just checked your sig rig and you don't have any water cooling parts or even tried it(reason for your idiotic comment)

You can find everything in copper except for a few brass components...and brass/copper combo corrodes much slower than nickel/copper. I realize I said stick to 1 metal, what I should have said is stick to 1 metal ideally, or 2 metals of little reactance to eachother.

Also, I have had 10 years of watercooling setups...the reason I don't anymore is that it's just not needed for Sandy Bridge. My 27 dollar air cooler gets me 4.8GHz.
