i7 920 with corsair H60 temps? Any suggestions?

Hey for those who would know the temps with this cooler and have experience.
One of my friend has the i7 920 and is using the corsair h60 to cool it. The temps so far will be listed below.

Corsair H60 out of the box paste: 39c
Cooler master paste: 33c
Thermalright: 45c

Are these temps normal or is something wrong here. It's cooling only as good as the thermalright heatsink. I ran out of Shin-Etsu so couldnt use any of that.

Idle temps don't mean a whole lot, the sensors are more accurate at load.
The all-in-one coolers like the h60 are only comparable to good air coolers for temps though.

Alright, makes sense enough. So is it even worth it to be running those all in one water coolers?

Not really, I would personally go with a good air cooler.

Technically air coolers last forever, I don't know if you can say that for the h60.

There are air coolers that perform better, and they don't have the risks involved with water.

Theyre worth it if you prefer a cleaner look inside your computer rather than a huge hunk of metal hanging off the motherboard.

Temperatures will be about the same as a high-end air cooler, that is normal.

Put an extra fan on the radiator to create a "push/pull" setup, you'll see a very dramatic change in load temperatures.

And FYI the thermal tape on the Corsair products is Shin Etsu.
