Which is fine. The only thing the 1GB will bind you on is games like Skyrim if you use mods like a better texture mod, increased viewing distance etc. If you don't mind not maxing AA and such then 1GB will not be a limitation for you and you should get very nice frame rates.

Nice Mobo btw!

I'd go with the MSI Cyclone in the top slot and get Shogun while it's free! They overclock very well (if your PSU has the headroom)

Otherwise this Gigabyte has a nice cooler: Link

What version heatsink do you currently have? If it doesn't have a good cooler definitely put it in the bottom slot, even the furthest down if you can so they're not right up against each other.

how hot is your sapphire getting? I have the same card, but on water. I never saw mine go above 70C while on air though. What are your ambient temps and gpu temp while loaded?

guru and anandtech are showing different crossfire results: these make grabbing another 6850 seems like a no brainer if it werent for you having a 550watt power supply

What do people think about running two 6850's on a 650w?

I just recently purchased a xfx 650w with plans to get a x6 Phenom II and a 6970/50, it seems however I would get better performance with 2x6850 than a 6950/70. PSU calculators tell me my rig would use 619w which would be cutting it close.

However looking at the following charts it appears that the two cards consume less power than a single 470, 480 and 580, and only 17 more watts that a 570. I would assume that my PSU could handle any single gpu.
