Mobo suggestions, z68 or p67 with radeon 5670

Im just starting to toy around with an upcoming sandy bridge budget build. Im curious as to what features I really need in a motherboard.

I have a radeon 5670 flex GPU already. I dont plan on running more than my two monitors, plus a HDMI for TV out, which my card can do. I simply don't know if the iGPU has more horsepower or not. Ive read that it's a pretty capable onboard graphics processor, but I also saw some benchmarks where a 5500 series card smoked it.

I do a lot of h.264 encoding, and a bunch of DLNA transcoding, so I dont know if quicksync will be helpful here or not.

I also have an OCZ vertex 2 SSD drive, so I may be able to make use of the z68's SSH caching.

Anyway, what suggestions do you guys have for an entry level motherboard that will OC to 4.5+ 24/7? Ive always had luck with gigabyte, so I was looking at GA-Z68A-D3H-B3. Ive used ASRock in the past, and while i was impressed with the OC for the price, I wasn't able to push my 775 chips as far as with other boards.

I was juts looking at the MSI boards. I like that there all built with solid caps like the gigabyte ultra durable boards are.

What does the G65 offer that the lower end G43 doesnt? All I really see are eSATA, 1394, and two more SATA-ii ports, none of which are show stoppers for me. Then again, whats an extra 30 bucks.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I see now that the SSD caching will do nothing for me since my boot drive is SSD. Ive also decided to keep running my radeon 5670. And since I dont think handbrake will make any use of the iGPU through quickSync, I decided to just to p67.

I'm rolling the dice on an open box ASUS P8P67 PRO from newegg for 108 shipped. It will hopefully arrive tomorrow, and Ill swing by microcenter on my way home and grab a 2500k and see how it goes.

Any suggestions on where I should cap vcore? My corsair H60 push/pull did pretty well with my q6600, which I daily drive at 3.5 GHz. Im pretty confident this will have 4.5 in reach pretty handily, but Ill keep pushing for whatever I can get.

My initial thoughts are to cap vcore at 1.35 and try and keep temps under 75 at full tilt. Does that seem reasonable?

Thanks again!
