Actually, sounds about right. With most people working during the summer, they really don't have as much time to cruise facebook as when they were in school. Also, a lot of companies now block facebook so that employs can't surf it during work.

I could understand if the article was saying that there has been an decrease in TRAFFIC. But it's saying people are LEAVING meaning, deactivating their profile.

Facebook causes too much drama. Period.

The source article is not very specific when it mentions it - to the fault of the writer.
If you read through the links, that discuss the data (not the Business Insider one), the article is actually referring to data regarding unique visitors and MAUs (monthly activer users)

http://www.insidefacebook.com/2011/0...ly-or-falling/

I'm guessing the article writer got excited when he saw the IFG numbers and then quickly wrote this article, thinking he can capitalize using sensationalist headlines. I don't think the writer is even aware of how vague his article actually is.

If this is true, then yeah, this is does more or less fall in line with the "seasonal" thing. It's summer. More people are out of school, spending time outdoors, etc., etc.

Mark is ok though, he has made enough money for the rest of his days.

How is it seasonal? Do people really deactivate their account just for the summertime?

See post number 44. They may not have been disabled. The article just may be wrong.

If that many accounts truly have been disabled, who knows?
