2500k + P67 or Z68 mobo + DDR3 (quite cheap nowadays).

Sell current quad and mobo, upgrade GPU.

Get the GPUs. I wouldn't watercool a 775 CPU since its pretty old and you'll probably be wanting to upgrade that soon. In short the 460s will be a more long term investment. Although I would probably get a 570 instead or even a 580. You can find two 580s for sale for $400 here.

yea i'd go with the two 2x460s... however you can find a single used 580 for that price... i've seen them sell for that much in the market place tons of times... i think there is one right now for 400 dollars.

A single 580 is just as powerful as 2x460s plus you can oc it and add an extra 580 down the line

Definitely a GPU upgrade if you're interested in gaming, but I'd recommend a single-card solution such as a GTX 570 to save yourself a little bit of money and have room for SLI in the future. Purchasing an SLI setup of older GPUs seems wasteful to me, since later on you'll have to buy two new GPUs to upgrade, when buying a high-end card now leaves you the option of a more powerful SLI in the future for cheaper.

Definitely this. If you don't care for boot times and such at all then look for a single 560 or 6950 then save money for CPU, Motherboard, and RAM upgrades.

hmmm..thanxx for the replies guys i will prolly buy 1 Gtx 460 and a ssd...that way both boot times and graphics will increase and since im still on 22" screen max res is 1680x 1050...so buying 2 460's will be waste of horsepower....how does that sound ?
