Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium HD vs Fatality PRO vs Fatal1ty Champion

Thread Starter
For games/movies/bit of music, I'm getting the logitech x-540 5.1 speakers in a few days for sure, and looking hard at a new $80 xonar DX

But if I wanted to save a little longer for a more modern sound card, whats the pros/cons/main difference between these

Creative Sound Blaster X-FI TITANIUM Fatal1ty Champion Series $146

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium HD $141

Creative Sound Blaster X-FI TITANIUM Fatality PRO $109

EDIT:I don't want the card cutting into my CPU usage, thats one thing I don't like about the DX compared to more powerful SCards, and bad 3D audio in BC2, other than that, I'm sure I'd love the DX

The champion series is better then the rest because it has more pros.
But in my opinion none of these have major cons so don't worry it about it that much,

The Champion is the same as the Pro but it comes with the 3.5" control panel.
The HD has better components (swappable OP-Amps too) on the soundcard and is more suited for analog setups.

The HD is going to be the best for overall sound quality.

first....the HD beats them all

I dont think that the fatal1ty pro is worth it , it's a X-Fi titainium with more XRam and shiled (i dont know if it's EMI shiled) that's it.

Between them i will get the X-Fi titanium , but if i got money then i will go directly to the HD

No. You're wrong. See quote below this.

Correct. The Titanium HD is the best of the 3. The Fatal1ty Pro and Champion series are the same card, but the Champ Series has that 3.5" bay knob garbage.

Titanium HD can actually be found for 129-135 on amazon.

from every time I looked on amazon, they have more expensive shipping, and its slow

$166 all inc. with overnight shipping for the HD from expresscanada , I can do that in a month if I so decide

in a few days I'll have low end 5.1 speakers, so at least I'll something to play with while I research SCs, and wait for BD

No, cuz the DAC chip is worse.

The HD is a useless card IMO, it don't do 5.1 analogue. For digital optical all you need is a mobo audio.
