far from useless if you have 2.0 / 2.1 and headphones. Far far from it.

Yeah, it won't do 5.1 analog so you can't plug crappy Logitech surround speakers into it.

What a useless card...

yeah and the logitech x-540 5.1 that I'm getting has the regular 3.5mm jacks

I'll focus on the xonar DX vs the X-Fi Titanium pro for now

really, which ever one is better in games, and uses the least CPU %

I plan to CF in mid-August, before I get BD, and if something goes terribly wrong with BD, my x4 40 will need all the help it can get

How are the titanium pro drivers with win 7 x64 lately?

lol.

@drivers
I was using the X-fi Titanium about a month ago and I got complete system freezes quite often while changing settings, one blue screen in game, and had all system sound drivers shut off once. That was about 2 weeks of use.

I have to differ. I used the Titanium for 2 years with none of those crappy driver packs.

I used the 2.17.008 drivers, newest console launcher, and that was all I needed. If I wanted digital out, I used the DDL and DTS packs as well.

I used the card during three AMD motherboard changes.
