EVGA 560 Ti temps

Thread Starter
So I've had my 560 Ti running @ 900/2052 for a while and got a 3DMark11 score of P5030 with load temps of about 73C. Just a few minutes ago I decided to up my overclock to 950/2100 (using Afterburner) and now I'm getting a 3DMark11 of P5263 with the high temp during that time of 78C.

Just wanted to make sure but I should be fine with this right? Ambient temps are about 23-24C (but they will increase when the summer heat comes around again).

Ehh I'll just keep it at 900/2050 for now, especially with the coming summer heat. Not like I was having trouble running anything @ 1680x1050.

Thanks anyway guys.

The GPU is safe to go up to around 90C so those temps are better than good. These cards don't chug power like their grandpa 480's
post #7 of 18
Fermi cards are fine until 100-110c, which at that point they will downclock themselves to prevent a burnout.

My 560 was up to 98c for a few minutes while running OCCT. It generally stays around 80c when gaming so your temps are spot on.

Yeah, mine can go up to ~85C on a good day playing Crysis, at stock clocks/voltages.

I have seen this stated too many times, not all Fermi cards have the same thermal max, some of them have ones below 100C. In this case you are correct the 560ti is stated to have a max of 100C (I would try to stay below about 92) but it seems too many people are lumping all Fermi cards into the operating limits of the GF100 which is incorrect, you can see even the 580 isn't rated for over 100C.
