HELP!! can not connect LCD TV to PC

I have a Samsung TV model : LN40C550

I used an HDMI to MINI HDMI to connect to my PC

Video card is G-Force GTX 550 Ti - (mini hdmi)

when i go into the setting my PC seeing both of my monitors but a message on the TV displays "Check connected device's power, cable connection, and source selection."

what does that even mean??? am i doing something wrong here???

Is the resolution you have set on your computer (on monitor control) compatible with your TV?

if im not mistaken the resolution is unchangeable/dulled out so i can change the options, i will post a screen capture later tonight

The TV should change its own resolution on its own when you change it in the control panel.
