Are these GPU RAM heatsinks any good

I was going to buy these but then I saw this ^

Differences? Any advantage of the copper ones over the aluminum ones?

copper ones should cooler better, but it is RAM heatsinks, so it doesn't matter too much. Getting the aluminum and a fan to ziptie to the card would be a better option.

They should have cooler looking ones available.

Got a linky?

There's a pretty small selection of ramsinks in the first place (or at least in my browsing)

Better off strapping a 120mm fan to the side/underneath of the GPU, that will give you better cooling results

gpu ram doesnt run hot enough to warrant heatsinks.

this 1.5v GDDR5 stuff is mighty cool compared to the GDDR3 which was around 2.0v
GDDR3 didnt need heat sinks either.

So in other words I am safe going with either.

If I spend a little less on ramsinks perhaps I could get myself a halfway decent VRM cooler...
