keep that bluescreen view utility somewhere safe. See how quickly you solved the BSOD by yourself with it. The files in red are always the problem ones.

Yeah, that is an incredibly handy tool. I tried searching through the event logs myself but didn't find anything useful.

eventlog is only good for problems that doesn't cause BSODs. Like network disconnecting game crashing etc etc.
For BSOD that's a handy tool. Make your dump file 64k. It will lift the problem drivers out neatly.
