Help* Gaming Headset

post #1 of 17
Thread Starter
Greetings, I will buy a gaming headset tomorrow. Note, I have a big head.

Looking for:

*Comfort
* Excellent microphone quality
*I prefer a mic that bends
*descent sound

Budget -$40-55

Also, I was looking at either Plantronics gamecom or Fatality by creative.

thanks!!

Dude NO. I got these and they really freaking hurt my ears. Also, when you crank the volume up a bit, the speakers start to create static-y noise (or distortion i guess). In short, if I could to it again I DEFINITELY would pick these up. IMO you should save up and buy a pair of nice Sennheisers.

You would honestly be better off buying a standalone mic and nice headphones. You are generally sacrificing quality on both fronts if you go the other way.

Not really sure how they hurt your ears, because they don't touch them. But ok. Also, the static problem isn't the headset, that must have been the headset you got, I can crank mine all the way up with lots of bass and there is no static at all.

Agreed razor sucks, so does fatality, in terms of sound quality.

I have the Creative Fatal1ty's and a pretty large head but they still fit great. On Ventrillo everyone can understand me clearly, and while gaming I can easily hear people in MW2 that even have Ninja Pro on. The mic bends easily.

For music on the other hand, my friend's Sennheiser HD 555's blow my Fatal1ty's away in sound quality and bass depth.
