anyone know if plantronics gamecom is good? Also, I have owned a fatality by creative and it was wonderful. Might go with that or plantronics. Just need a second opinion.

Im not really into the sound quality thing, just want one with descent sound. Im after the microphone quality.

They are pretty good sets, they sound pretty good, have lots of bass, and the mic is very clear. My set broke because of the mic wire placement, so the movement of the mic wore through the wire.

The head band also broke on it, but that was my own fault, I was easily able to super glue it and make it strong then it was before it broke.

Read the links in my sig. Especially the most recommended audio products. You'll understand why a headset is not the way to go.

I have had the Gamecom 377's and 777's and they have, if I can remember right, just ok audio quality, good bass, comfortable to me, mic was clear, every one could hear me fine, but the build quality was poor, and they ended up snapping. I have the Carcharias right now, most comfortable headset I have ever had, lasted me a year and a half or so before I smacked the shiz out of them and the mic stopped working. Got a replacement for free right away from best buy though. Audio quality is ok, excellent comfort, very clear mic, slim to no bass though. You would be much better off purchasing the JVC HARX-700 headphones with the $12 Zalman clip on mic man. Some mods can be done to make the head phones even more comfortable then they are, which they aren't to bad, some people say they get a little hot, some people say they don't, but they do very decent at everything pretty much.

are you referring to creative or plantronics? I might get the same, creative because its mic is bendable.

Hey,
I honestly wouldn't buy one of those. You should read this thread, it'll help you make a good choice. I'd buy Sennheiser HD201 with a clip on mic like the Zalman Zm-Mic1. The overall quality will be 1000000 times better than If you buy the Fatality or the Gamecom...
Good luck!

This combo is superior to all those crappy gaming headsets. I own the RX700s and they are quite amazing.
