(Solved) System Gives Long Beep but only when Restarted Via the Login Screen...

I have an odd issue on my hands.

My system froze while playing a game. I rebooted and it gave one long beep from the motherboard, and turned on but wouldn't post.

At first I figured a Ram stick might be going so I popped out all but one and cold booted the system.

So then it posted perfectly fine and went right into windows. I thought ok one of the sticks must be bad.

I decided to restart and double test, and it did the long beep again with no post.

Long story short, the system will POST fine from a cold start but any attempts to reboot the system once it hits the windows login screen result in one long beep from the motherboard upon rebooting.

However if I completely turn off the system, and then boot it up, it loads into windows no problem...

To reiterate, it's ONLY when I try to restart the system by clicking restart at the login screen that it won't POST on restart. Restarting via the reset button works perfectly. Turning it completely off and then turning it back on works perfectly. What the heck is going on here???

What I've done so far:

I've reseated the ram in every combination possible, reset everything to stock clocks and voltages, swapped out the video card for a different one. The motherboard's Diagnostic LED reads FF, for what that's worth.

So confused.

Alright, well, after some more testing I decided to try re-installing all the hardware.

Now it's posting fine.

I had to test a video card this morning and I think I was just swapping to many GPUs around. Apparently my Mobo had an issue with that. *Shrug*
