Recommend some good ram.

I need a ram upgrade like nobody's business, considering I was an early adopter and my corsair xm3 dhx kit is showing it's age.

So any good 4x2 gb kits out there?

And yes I know my board was made to run a max of 8gb with 4x2gb, but the 790i has been tested to run 16gb max with 4x4gb.

EVGA just never tested it when the new kits came out because it was an EOL product.

Corsair Vengeance. Does your MB support 1.5v RAM?

it supports way higher than 1.5v.

I just bought 2x http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231277

I believe they are shorter than the Vengeance.

So far they seem to be good. Unless you meant 2x4?

yeah I need 2x4gb for stability reasons. I go for efficiency over clock speed which is why my gflops are @ 49 @ 3.6ghz opposed to 4.0ghz.

4x 2GB will be faster and more stable than 2x 4GB

The vengeance seem to be the best, especially at that price.
