Wish I could help you but I am a freshmen at this Overclocking business these days myself. I have done much with computers in my day but OC was something I would stay away from. . I am in the midst of trying to cure that.

Different chip, same board, similar principle:
http://mattgadient.com/2010/08/15/as...stock-voltage/

That board is not ideal for over-clocking.

As posted above the mobo may not be ideal for OCing but should do ok if you do a little work first. First thing you'll need to do is get some of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835708011 I'd advise getting two sets to cover Mosfets and transistors to the left of the cpu socket. While the Asus mobo's do have OCP (over current protection) this will definitely help prevent CPU throttling due to over heating of the VRMs.

Next you'll need a good after market CPU cooler.

I'd also install an internal case fan so it blows air over the VRM HS's and SB HS. This can easily be mounted to the back side of the optical drive bay using zip ties.

This should allow you to OC possibly to 4.0GHz depending on the choice of CPU cooler.

AFTER these improvements start by reading/studying this http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html it will give you lots of good info on the "How To" OC plus give you a real good path to follow.

If I can help you any further feel free to PM me. I do have 3 of these mobo's one of which is OC'd with a Phenom II x2 555 at 4.0GHz and NB Freq running 2800MHz.

CoD black ops + Phenom II x4 965 3.40ghz + XFX HD 5770 1GB

and you really want to overclock? for what? it will do like NOTHING for your fps....
the 5770 is a decent card, but not enough to go around maxing games at 900/1080P.

cod black ops is not that demanding where it need more then a 3.4ghz quad core... really not many games will see much benefit from having above 3ghz on quad cores.

you will see MUCH better results from upgrading your graphics card.
