ATI 5770 Overclocking help please - Page 4

I have the same exact card(brand: mine is a HIS).I suggest leaving memory clocks alone unless you're running at 1080p or above. So in theory you should be able to get at least to 960 with gpu clock and maybe 1000 with voltage set to 1.200.

I've tried with 3 cards and all run at 960/1300 with no problems with no voltage tweaks.

BE very careful not to over do it.

Perhaps it's the temperature or your card just isn't very good with overclocks.

Try it with Overdrive and be sure to close all Msi programs and threads.

if you have exhausted all other option's then a driver reinstall is usually the way to go. I always ran my 5770 on 11.3 and no issues OC'ing to 925 Mhz.

I suggest taking your time and bumping your OC by a few mhz at a time. Just the same as you would with a cpu or any other component.

11.6 is out if you are on a driver testing spree. Download here

Personally I think you cranked it to high too fast and hardware is now unstable not your drivers.

ok well im currently downloading the 11.6 update.
and then i will install and see if everythings ok, because ive been running the clocks on stock for a two days now.

so once 11.6 is installed and ready to go,
what clocks do u think i should start at?
because like you said, you personally think i went to fast? well,
what would u suggest doing? at what rate is what i mean?

For a little more OC headroom you should reapply TIM to the gpu. Personally I use OCZ freeze, but hey anything better than that stuff should be sufficient. Also, remember to CLR_CMOS when your cpu beings to screw up. Just thought I'd try to help.
