Good points. Well, coming from a pretty budget gaming past, seeing all those little numbers go higher and higher is really tempting. Groan, but I'm kinda keen on giving 3d gaming a go as well...

I have seen Batman done on triple screens before, but I get what you mean...

That's pretty awesome, but the question really is, is water cooling even better? I've heard the sandys are fantastic overclockers but I don't think I'll be pushing mine as far as 5ghz... at least not for a while.

Awesome, thanks for that. Yeah, I had heard higher than 1600mhz don't bother, just wondering about the difference between those two

Fair enough I only ever played it on the Xbox so i've not checked it on eyefinity setup, just know that u3 engine has given me all sorts of grief trying to get proper FOV in the past ^^

assuming your case has enough airflow to keep your case temps down you wont see a big jump going upto water from a very good air cooler. things like the h60 you mentioned are a nice comprimise but personally from my experiance with the h70 I'd say for the money a top quality air cooler will perform better, IMHO if you want to go liquid cooling go custom the end result is just that much better.
