I agree that crt are best for gaming, but I dont see how a tn panel can be better for gaming then a good ips or pva panel. It USED to be that way for sole reason of ips and pva panels having a slower response time,or input lag and that is off course important for gaming.
In recents years these panels are as fast as tn panels and input lag is almost non existant, but at the same time these panels offer better picture quality then a tn panel.
So please do explain me how is that NOT better for gaming ? Or for any use of pc ???

Why ? I tested cryisis 1 and 2 on my friedns c-pva and they looked amazing, much better contrast, black levels and overall color vividity then on any other lcd I have ever seen
And I didn't notice any ghosting either,so I am really curious why do you say that ?

Most ghosting. From my experience with PVA monitors, too much for gaming.

But on the other hand, any LCD has too much ghosting for my taste.

This is a completely pointless thread. If you wanted to educate people about the differences, it may be a better option to make this an educational thread, rather than starting it off by mocking people who may be running high end systems with TN eyefinity, such as myself. I personally think that my Eyefinity setup looks great, and if you want to spend more money on monitors, by all means, enjoy yourself. In the meantime, no one is going to take you seriously as long as you continue to call other peoples purchases stupid, as well as lacking the ability to properly space your punctuation and words.

How are the dell TN monitors by the way? I've not heard much about them, nor have I seen them live. Are they low quality or high quality (for TN panels)? I'm curious

I'm not even going to argue in this thread, it's pointless going against IPS elitists.

Just wait a year or two for IPS to develop, then it might be worth arguing about.

I am not a big monitor guru, but I think they look good. If I would have started out building my rig knowing I was going eyefinity, I would have bought different panels (still TN) that were less expensive. I upgraded my 19" to one 24" around xmas because I got a great deal on it, and later decided to go eyefinity, so needed to buy 2 more, and did not get that same great deal on the 2nd two.

Some people aren't nearly as sensitive to color quality as other people. Everybody has different levels of perception. Example, I use my motherboard's sound instead of a sound card because I cannot hear or care about the difference.

OP, why is it your concern that people do this? Is it personally insulting to you?

It's hard to use your computer and not care about how other people use theirs, isn't it.

He might've formatted his posts to be somewhat insulting and condescending, but he's most likely just asking a simple question. Treat it as such.
