890FXA-UD5 vs 990FX-UD5

Thread Starter
Going to be getting a new motherboard since my current board isnt a good clocker and want to get into overclocking with water and wood like to know if its worth spending the extra for a 990fx over the 890fxa. Im leaning towards the 890fxa as it is $35 less than the 990fx. Any reason why i should go a 990?

If you think you'll be going BD in the future, might as well make use of all it's features with that extra $35

Differenced are mainly SLI support, design and BD support, that's it (but depends what is the revision of the 890FXA-UD5 stores are selling there).

I've heard a few things about 990FX compared to 890FX.
But I went with the 890FX, mostly because of the Sandy Bridge debacle.
I know it's technically the same silicon, but with, more or less, full BD compatibility, I went with the ASRock Deluxe5.
Tried and true bios vs. Possible on the fly turbo core power gating...
I guess we will see.
