Often, pre-built machines from Dell and HP have onsite next day repair and 24 hour tech support. I understand you probably have a decent understanding of how to repair your computer yourself, but if the machine is crucial, sometimes you don't want to fiddle around with it and waste time.

Understood NrGx. Any computer problems to date I have been able to fix myself...at least on my custom built computer. These problems were few and far between and were usually just software related. The most problems I have ever had have come from prebuilt Dell's, HP's and such. Could just be coincidence. I have another computer that works fine for the most part and all of our data is backed up on several external drives so even if I have a problem, I can just plug the drives into the other machine.
