Bloomfield would be more expensive than a SB setup, as well as being slower for gaming

add cpu cooler, mad OC, and $100 gpu
I'd stay far away from that combo...Raidmax PSUs are junk. This combo loooks better to me:

The MSI board is pretty basic, but will still allow a decent overclock. Just need DVD drive and cooler. Can re-use video card.

I just had an epiphany!.. Ive been crunching numbers like mad, and I've decided that I won't buy myself a computer, or anything new for that matter, until I bring myself out of debt and free up some money. In short I will be debt free by November 2011 and will treat myself to my first ever dream machine!

Budget will be $1500, I plan to go SLI but since there is a 5 month gap between now and a build date Ill just wait until that time comes around to start really looking at components for the build. But what are some pointers to remember when going SLI, is there a thread I can look at?

If you live close to a micro center you might be able to find a CPU and mobo combo for much cheaper. They also have a lot of other items for cheap, helps you save on shipping.

My builds around 700

i5-2500k - $197
BIOSTAR TP67XE - $143
Galaxy GTX 560 TI - $186
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600 - $65
Hard drives $ 50
Hyper 212 plus cooler - $27
CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX - $72
HAF 912 - $45

If you take out the gtx 560 ti and substitute for a cheaper GPU you can hit below the $700 mark.

You are joking aren't you? My friend has a i7 2600k SB, and my i7 950 out performs that always, gaming or otherwise. And the only differences between our PCs are the CPU and Mobo since he has SB and I have Bloomfield.
